PLANNING WORK ORDERS
Overview
Work Order Planning is an effective way to increase productivity and is the first step in the Planning/Scheduling process. Planning provides important benefits even if Work Orders are not being scheduled. It ensures that the right people are dispatched and that they have the right parts, tools and instructions to do the job properly.
Here are the steps in Planning and how MAPCON can help:
Estimate the Stocked Materials or Parts needed
MAPCON will automatically create Issue Tickets for Stocked Materials and initiate Purchase Requisitions to replenish Stock to the Optimum Stocking Level if it is low. MAPCON will place the Work Order on Hold if Materials are not available.
Estimate the Purchased Materials or Services needed
MAPCON can suggest an appropriate Vendor and will forward Requisitions to Purchasing. The Work Order will be placed on Hold until goods are received.
