Line Items Page
CD - Enter the Transaction Code: IN to charge to Inventory, WO to charge to a Work Order, CC to charge to a Cost Center, CS to charge to a Contract Service Order or SC to purchase a Service Contract. A Lookup is available.
Reference - Enter a Reference Number, i.e. Inventory Number, Work Order Number, Cost Center Number, Contract Service Order Number, or Service Contract Number. An appropriate Lookup is available.
Options: The following Options are available when the cursor is in either the Reference or Description field:
Use Ln Item to enter Vendor and Manufacturer information or delivery instructions in the Detail window.
Use Edit Stock to edit the Inventory record if it is an Inventory transaction type.
Use Qty Status to check Inventory Status if it is an Inventory transaction type.
Requisition Detail:
Use the Ln Item button to open this window.
The Requisition Detail screen provides for the entry of additional information about the requested item. If the item is not recorded in the Inventory File, Vendor and/or Manufacturer information can be entered to help the Purchasing Agent identify the item.
The following information can be entered on the Requisition Detail screen:
Description - If the Transaction Code is IN, the Description will be retrieved from the Inventory File. Otherwise, enter a Description of the Line Item to be purchased.
Inv Part # - Enter the MAPCON Inventory Part Number. The Status Code of an Inventory Item can be set to MEMO to indicate that the Inventory record is only used to provide information to Purchasing. Memo items are not stocked and are excluded from the Automatic Reorder Process. If the Line Item Transaction Code is not IN, only memo items can be entered here. If the Transaction Code is IN, only non-memo Inventory Items can be entered. Appropriate Lookups are available.
If Inv Part # is entered, some of the following information may be retrieved from the database:
Vendor Part # - Enter the Vendor's Part Number.
Vendor # - Enter the Vendor Number.
Mfg Part # - Enter the Manufacturer's Part Number.
MFG # - Enter the Manufacturer Number.
Manufacturer Name - Enter the Manufacturer Name.
Stockroom - Enter the Stockroom the material is to be delivered to.
Cost Center - Enter the cost center the material cost will be charged to.
Pur Type - Enter the type of Direct Charge. Use this field to group requisition information for reports.
PL - Purchased Labor
PM - Purchased Material
PS - Purchased Services
Due Date - If desired, each line item can have its own Due Date, which is indicated here. Use the Clndr button to quickly select a date.
When Received, Notify and/or Deliver To: - Enter delivery or notification instructions. If the Purchasing Software Switch is turned on for the "Default User Name into 'When Received, Notify...' field", the name entered in the Requested By field on the first page of the Requisition will default into this field.
New! If using E-mail Notifications, an e-mail can be automatically sent to the e-mail address entered here.
Click on Save to save the Requisition detail record and return to the Line Item screen.
