Cancel Purchase Orders

A Purchase Order cannot be canceled if items have been received against it. In that event, issue a Change Order to reduce the unreceived Line Items to zero quantity, Post the Change Order and Close the Purchase Order.

The person who authorized the Purchase Order must cancel the Purchase Order if authorization is required and the Purchase Order has been authorized.

If the Purchase Order has multiple authorizations, all authorizations other than that of the person who is canceling must be removed. Authorizations cannot be removed by anyone other than the person who performed the authorization.

The Purchase Order must be canceled using the Change Order Data Entry screen if it has Change Orders issued against it.

PO# - Enter the Purchase Order Number to be canceled. The Purchase Order will be displayed

Press the Shift and F2 keys simultaneously.

A message (Cancel PO# nnnnnn?) will be displayed. Click on Yes to cancel or No to return to the screen.
