Software Switch Settings

Authority Files

Authority Files are integrated throughout the system to provide Lookups for quick data entry, to validate choices, and in some cases to provide searching and sorting options.

Data relating to Authority Files cannot be entered in MAPCON until the data is first setup in its appropriate file.

Authority Files can be established "as you go", however, all files should be discussed and reviewed in advance for proper and consistent setup.

Authority Files include (but are not limited to): 

            * - indicates important information that should be setup first

            Cost Accounting Administration

                        *Departments   

                        *Cost Centers 

                        Charge Codes 

            Asset Administration 

                        *Equipment Keywords           

            Inventory Administration

                        *Inventory Keywords   

                        *Stockrooms 

                        Aisles 

            Maintenance Administration

                        *Work Order Priority Codes     

                        Shifts, Crafts, and Crews 

                        Problem Descriptions 

                        Job Steps

Access each authority file through the Admin icon, then it's appropriate Administration menu.
