Locations

Note:  If not writing work orders against Locations, this section can be skipped.

Locations in MAPCON help to identify physical areas within the facility.

Buildings, floors, and rooms can be setup in a hierarchy and each tied to a cost center.

A list of equipment in that location can be provided, and Repair, Service, or PM work orders can be performed against Locations.

By writing work orders against Locations, facility or building maintenance costs (costs not related to Equipment) can be tracked directly.

Costs charged to lower levels in the Location hierarchy will roll up to higher levels if cost centers are filled in.

Additionally, Safety Procedures, Drawings, PM procedures and Job Steps can be attached to Locations.

Locations need to be input from the top-down, starting with Level 1. Plan in advance the Location Hierarchy structure that  best suits your facility. For more information, consult the on-line manual or your knowledgeable MAPCON Support Specialist.
