This is the User Manual for MAPCON (MAintenance Planning and CONtrol), release version 5.10 for the Windows operating system. Use it often. Use it extensively.

SYSTEM SETUP

If you are starting a brand new MAPCON installation, go through each step of the Implementation Guide.

Learn about the Validation Files that should be set up prior to using the system. Be sure to become acquainted with these topics before using the system. Pay particular attention to the sections on Authority Control,  Setup, and Security. There are important decisions that must be made when the system is installed. Some of these decisions will be difficult to change after the fact, for example, the costing method for inventory.

To increase the performance of your MAPCON system, use a Network product  (Universal Driver).
