MAPCON REQUIREMENTS

1. MAPCON for Windows CD

2. For networks: Universal Driver (OR NT Service OR NLM Network Product)

3. pcAnywhere (Remote-control software for support by modem)

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

1. Install MAPCON from CD

2. Call friendly MAPCON Support Specialist for Activation Code

3. Install Revelation Network Product (Universal Driver, or NT Service or NLM)

4. Create REVPARAM file

5. Set Sharing and Permissions

6. Create MAPCON icon on workstations

7. Set Company Name

8. Test MAPCON system and verify ready for use

INSTALL MAPCON

WARNING - Make sure all other programs are closed before beginning installation. The computer may need to be restarted during the installation process.

1. Insert MAPCON for Windows CD in the drive. Install will start up automatically.

Alternatively, from Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP, go to Start / Run and  type
d:\Mapcon Shipping.exe (d:\ will vary according to the letter of the CD-ROM drive)

2. Windows Installer will start the initial installation process. If the latest version of Windows Installer is not available, your system will be updated and then a message will prompt to restart the system. Please click Restart to reboot the system.  Windows Installer will automatically begin again after rebooting.

3. The InstallShield Wizard will start up and guide you through the remainder of the installation process.

4. Click Next after the Welcome screen.

5. Read the MAPCON Software License agreement, then click to select "I accept the terms.", then click Next.

6. The Destination folder can be changed if desired, but we recommend c:\wmapcon. Click Next to continue.

7. Click Install to begin the installation process. When process is complete, click Finish.

ACTIVATE MAPCON

MAPCON must be activated before the first use!

8. The first time logging in, MAPCON will prompt for an Activation Code.

Call MTI at 800-223-4791 and ask for Support.

Request an Activation Code, and we will e-mail the  Activation Code to you. The encrypted code can only be used once.

Note:  If e-mail is not available, the code can be given verbally. However, since the code contains mixed non-alpha-numeric characters, it can be challenging to input manually.

9. After the e-mail is received, double-click the MAPCON red toolbox icon.

10. Enter User Name SPV and password SUPERVISOR  (not case sensitive). Click OK.

11. A message box will prompt "Please enter Activation code."

12. Highlight just the code in the e-mail, right click mouse to Cut, then right click mouse in MAPCON Activation Code field to Paste encrypted code. Click OK.

13. The message "MAPCON has been Activated" will display.  Click OK to log off. You can now login successfully.
