Brief History

MAPCON has been under development for over 25 years. Mapcon Technologies, Inc has been employee owned for over four years, purchasing the company from the previous owner (DFM Systems, Inc.) on April 1st, 2000.  DFM Systems was established in 1985, providing asset management software and solutions with MAPCON and other related products.

Since the purchase of the company in 2000, MTI has released several upgrades/enhancements to its flagship product, MAPCON Professional.  More recently, MTI introduced two new companion products, iMapcon (intranet/internet module), and PocketMaint (Batch or Wireless hand held PDA modules). We have also streamlined the bar code module and now offer ScanMaint to create barcode labels, and optionally interface with MAPCON using the bar code scanner offered with most handheld PDAs.

In addition to our primary product, we also offer MapconLite as an economical CMMS solution. Mapcon Jemms is a Sun Java  web based client-server EMMS (Enterprise Maintenance Management System) that we released in 2007 and is currently being used by several customers. Jemms allows users with multiple companies separated by long distances (cities, states or countries) to connect to the same system fast and efficiently.
