Purchasing the Advanced Inventory Option
Call Mapcon Technologies Inc. and provide them with your Serial Number and Purchase Date. They will log your Purchase Order and provide you with an initialization code that will unlock the Advanced Inventory Option.
Click on Administration / Installs and Utilities / Installs & Utilities. Then, click on the Advanced Inventory Check Box in the Install Option Group Box. When prompted, enter the initialization code that you were provided. Advanced Inventory has now been turned on.
Software Switches
Access via the Administration Icon : Initialization and Utilities : System Initialization.
System Initialization uses a Notebook with six Tabs - You are only concerned with the Inventory Tab.

First review the data that was entered as part of the Basic System Implementation to insure that it is correct.
Enable the Advanced Inventory System - Place a Check Mark in this Check Box to enable Advanced Inventory.
Count Sheets should have a new page for each Aisle - Place a Check Mark in this Check Box if Count Sheets should page break for each Aisle.
Validation Tables
Click on the Administration Icon and then the Inventory Button to invoke the Inventory Administration Menu. Enter data into:
Aisles
Inventory Type
Inventory Units of Measure
Entering Data
Click on the Inventory Icon. Read the help for all screens accessed from the Inventory Menu. Enter data as required.
Purchasing Implementation
System Software Switches - Access via Administration : Initialization and Utilities : System Initialization. Then, enter the following data on the Purchasing Page.
Requisitions Group Box
Next Requisition # - The Next Purchase Requisition Number is managed by the system. You can, however, increase the Next Purchase Requisition Number. You can not decrease it.
Maintain History - Place a Check Mark in this box if you wish to maintain a History File containing closed Requisitions.
Maintain Privacy - Place a Check Mark in this box if you want a Purchase Requisition to be edited only by the User who created it. You must place a Check Mark in the Require Login Check Box on the System Page of the System Initialization Screen for Privacy to work.
Next Standard Paragraph - The Next Standard Paragraph Number is managed by the system. You can, however, increase the Next Standard Paragraph Number. You can not decrease it.
