Meter UOM Data Entry

Access via the Administration Icon : Equipment : Meter Units of Measure.

This is a validation table.  Lookups on the Meters & Gauges screen and the PM Scheduling screen use this table to insure that data is entered correctly.

Meter UOM - Enter the Meter's Unit of Measure.  A Lookup is provided.

Description - enter a description of the Meter's UOM.

Gauge UOM Data Entry

Access via the Administration Icon : Equipment : Gauge Units of Measure.

This is a validation table.  Lookups on the Meters & Gauges screen and the PM Scheduling screen use this table to insure that data is entered correctly.

Gauge UOM - Enter the Gauge's Unit of Measure.  A Lookup is provided.

Description - enter a description of the Gauge's UOM.

Skill Code Data Entry

Access via the Administration Icon : Employees : Skill Codes.

A Skill Code should be entered for each Employee who will be doing maintenance work.  Skill Codes can contain up to four characters and should identify the Employee's primary Skill or "Craft".  Skill Codes are used by the Work Order System and the PM Work Order Generation System to identify the types of Employees that are required to perform the Work Order's tasks.  Skill requirements can be matched against the Employee file to provide a selection list containing Employees who could be dispatched.

This is a validation table.  Lookups on Work Order and Preventive Maintenance Set Up Screens use this table to insure that data is entered correctly.

Use the Data Input Instructions to enter the Shift Code and Description.

Pay Rate Group Box

Cost can be charged using either Skill Code Rates or Employee Pay Rates.  See Cost Options on the System Initialization Screen.  Skill Code Costs should include any desired Burden or Overhead.  No additional tax or administrative overhead will be added by the system.  In effect, you can view Skill Code Costs as "Standard Costs" since cost will not vary depending on the rate paid to the worker.

Overtime rates will automatically be entered when the straight time rate is entered.  Overtime rates can then be changed.

Aisles Data Entry

Access via the Administration Icon : Inventory : Aisles.

The Aisles file is a Validation Table used by the Inventory System.  Aisle can be entered for each Inventory Item and is printed, along with shelf and bin, on Inventory Reports and Issue Tickets.

Use the Data Input Instructions to enter the Aisle ID and Description.

Aisle is purely informational if the Advanced Inventory Option has not been purchased.

With Advanced Inventory Option

Aisles are used by the Physical Inventory Control System.  Many kinds of Inventory Items can be stored in a single Aisle.  An alphanumeric Inventory ID identifies each kind.  Cycle Count Sheets can be generated for all or selected Aisles.

It is best to limit the number of Inventory Items on a Cycle Count Sheet to the number that can be counted in one working day.  If you have long physical Aisles, they should be divided into sections for Cycle Count purposes.  For example, if you have one long Aisle that you refer to as the "Main" Aisle, you may wish to subdivide the "Main" Aisle into "Main-A", "Main-B" and "Main-C" in order to meet the above objective.

An Inventory Item will not be included in Cycle Counts unless data has been entered in its Aisle field.

Date of Last Count - Use the Lookup to enter the date of the last Cycle Count for the Aisle.  An Inventory Item will not be included in Cycle Counts unless a date is entered here.

Count Interval - Enter the number of days between Cycle Counts.  An Inventory Item will not be included in Cycle Counts unless an interval is entered here.
