Click the Load Vend Parts button to quickly load inventory parts for the vendor indicated on the Main page.
A popup box will ask if you want to only consider parts for Primary Vendors, Secondary Vendors, or both.
CD - Enter the Transaction Code: IN to charge to Inventory, WO to charge to a Work Order, CC to charge to a Cost Center, CS to charge to a Contract Service Order or SC to purchase a Service Contract. A Lookup is available.
Reference - Enter a Reference Number, i.e. Inventory Number, Work Order Number, Cost Center Number, Contract Service Order Number or Service Contract Number. An appropriate Lookup is available. When the cursor is on this field, click the Ln Items button at the bottom of the screen to invoke the Blanket Order Line Item Detail screen, where Manufacturer, Vendor, cost center, or other info can be added. Or, click on the Options button, then choose Releases by Line Item to show release dates for individual Line Items.
Blanket Order Line Item Detail
The Blanket Order Line Item Detail screen provides an audit trail of Receipts and Invoices against the Line Item.
Description - If the Transaction Code is IN, the Description will be retrieved from the Inventory File. Otherwise, enter a Description of the Line Item to be purchased.
Allocate - This is applicable only if this is an Other Charge record. Click on the checkbox to enter an X in it to distribute Other Costs evenly to all Line Items in proportion to their costs. If the checkbox already has an X in it, clicking on it will remove it. Leave the checkbox blank to charge Other Costs directly to the Cost Center.
Stockroom - For inventory (CD = IN) only, enter the Stockroom the material is to be delivered to. A Lookup is available.
Cost Center - Enter the Cost Center that will be charged for the material. A Lookup is available.
Lead - Enter the Lead Time required for this Line Item. This field is needed for Vendor Statistics calculations.
Mfg # - Enter the Manufacturer Number. A Lookup is available.
Mfg Item # - Enter the Manufacturer's Item Number.
Vendor Item # - Enter the Vendor's Item Number. Click Options button, Edit Vend to edit the vendor record "on the fly".
Click Save or Close to return to the Detail screen.
Release by Line items Window
The Releases by Line Items window allows the total quantity ordered to be distributed across the Release Dates.
Dates - These are the dates upon which a Purchase Order should be created for this Line Item, entered through the Create Release Dates screen. If the release dates have not been created, no dates will display here.
Quantity - Enter the Order Quantity for the PO created on this Release date.
Click on Other Information for a display-only browse screen.
Click on Save to save the record and return to the Detail page.
