Reordering

MAPCON can handle Inventory Reordering using either a Manual or Automatic process.

Manual Reordering

If Purchasing is not used, parts can be Received  into MAPCON without cross-referencing a PO#.

Inventory quantities are increased when Receipt is Processed and Closed.

To decrease Inventory part quantities, Issue parts to Work Orders. When the checkbox on issue ticket is selected to "Process this Ticket Now", the  quantity is depleted when ticket is Saved.

Use the Select Inventory to Reorder, then the Inventory Reorder Review option on the Inventory Main Menu to view parts with a Quantity on Hand  (QOH) lower than their established Minimum stocking level. The Select should always be run first to refresh the data and update the Review screen with current information. On the Review screen, lookup parts in an Active List. Check the box next to "Create/Update a Purchase Requisition for this Vendor" to indicate which parts are to be reordered. Parts will automatically be added to any existing Requisitions for the same Vendor.

Automatic Reordering

When issue tickets are processed, if inventory parts fall below their established Minimum level this triggers the re-order system to automatically create a Purchase Requisition. The reorder quantity is calculated using the EOQ and Min and Max stocking levels (see previous page). The Requisition is then transferred by MAPCON personnel to a Purchase Order for further processing.

Receiving against the Purchase Order will increase inventory stocking levels.
