Create Security Codes

From Admin icon, Utilities Menu, System Setup Utilities Menu, Maintain Security Codes.

Enter the code combination and a description of what it is used for.

Icon Level Security (Main Menus)

Icons are the Main Menu for each module, such as the Equipment Main Menu, Inventory Main Menu etc.

To set security on Icons, click the Admin Icon / Utilities Menu / System Setup Utilities / Account Setup.

Select the third page: Icons (Main Menus).

Enter the appropriate Security Code for each Icon.

Click Save. Log out of MAPCON, then login again for the changes to take effect.

Tech Tip: Set security levels on ALL icons to at least level one (i.e. EQP1,  INV1, MNT1, PUR1, etc.). When Users login, if they do not have a security code for at least the lowest level of each module, they will not see any icons other than their own User Menu icon.

Menu Level Security

To set security on Menus, press Alt-M from any Menu for the Menu Generator utility window.

When the menu is displayed, enter the appropriate Security Code for each menu option. After all security codes have been entered, click Save.
