Creating a Label in Label Matrix

There are basically four parts of Label Matrix to learn before creating and printing labels: Adding text, adding paragraphs, adding barcode, and setting the printer options.

Creating a Label in Label Matrix: Adding text

Adding Literal Text

1) Click on the ABC icon (add text).

2) The Text properties form will appear with the Data Tab set.

3) Be sure the origin options is Constant.

4) In the Text field, enter the literal text  STOCKROOM:  and click OK.

5) Click and drag the highlighted text to the desired location.

6) Click the Bold option in the upper right and change the font size to 8.

Adding Dynamic Text

1) Click on the ABC icon (add text).

2) The Text properties form will appear with the Data Tab set.

3) Change the Origin value to Database.

4) The list of MAPCON field names will appear below the origin value. Select the value N_PART_STOCKROOM, then click OK.

5) Click and drag the highlighted field to the desired location.

6) Change the font size to 8.

Like text in a word processor, each field can be highlighted by clicking on it. The font size, type, color, and style is easily changed. Double-click on the highlighted field to return to the Text Properties Box.
