Reassignment

Follow the steps as if you were registering the PDA.  The system will automatically upload the database and select the proper PDA record from the PDA file.

    Assigned To - Enter the Employee ID that will be using the PDA.

    Click on the Download Button.

Registration is complete.  Close the screen.

Replacing a PDA.

If a PDA were to become inoperative, you would need to register a new PDA.  In order not exceed the authorized number of PDAs, you must first delete the PDA record for the broken PDA and then register the new PDA.

    Make sure that a PDA is not connected to the PC.

    Run Mapcon Lite.

    Click on the Administration Icon, then the Maintenance Button and, finally, the PDA Registration Button.

The System will warn you that a PDA is not connected.

   PDA # - Enter the number of the PDA you wish to delete.  A Lookup is provided.

   Click on the Delete Button at the top of the screen.

   Confirm the Deletion.

   Close the screen.

Then follow the steps to register the new PDA.  Deleted PDA Numbers will be reused.  You will never have a PDA Number greater than the number of authorized PDAs.

PDA Processing

The PDA must be connected and ActiveSync must have attached the PDA as Guest for this screen to work.

The System will automatically update the database when this screen is initiated.  The database will reflect any Work Order changes made on the PDA since the download.  A changed Work Order will have a "U" in the CD field.  Changes may be simply Comments or may be a Completion Date.  The Work Order will be closed if there is a Completion Date.  When the Process Work Orders Button is clicked, all Work Orders with a Completion Date will be closed in Mapcon Lite and deleted from the download file.

You have several choices. 

Download without modification

Click on the Process Work Orders Button.  This will download all unclosed Work Orders to the PDA.

Delete a Work Order

   Double click on a Work Order.  An Edit Box will appear.

    Click on the Delete Button.

    Confirm the Deletion.

The Work Order will be removed.
