Checklists

Along with tool control. The newest release of MAPCON includes a much-anticipated new feature – checklists! The lists can now be added in multiple places within MAPCON, thus enabling workers to be more organized and keep more complete records on repairs.

Checklists are available in both Lite and Pro, but the Advanced Maintenance module is required.

What does our new checklist feature include?

Checklists

Easy setup. Administrators can set up new checklists within minutes. Once a checklist has been created, it can easily be copied and added to other screens within MAPCON as well. If necessary, more than one checklist can be added to a work order or PM.

Multiple uses. The simple and advanced checklists can be used in a few different places within your MAPCON system. A checklist can be added to routes, equipment, locations, preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, and work orders. When necessary, a checklist can also be performed without a work order.

Two different options. MAPCON Users will get to choose between our simple or advanced (PRO only) checklists. The simple checklist is basically a to-do list, where tasks get checked off upon completion. This ensures that vital tasks in the repair process, especially on PM tasks, are not missed. This can help decrease machine downtime, and in turn, save companies money. When setting up the simple checklist, tasks can be written in order of how they should be performed, or by order of importance.

The advanced checklist is a bit more in-depth. When the checklist is created, administrators can choose a variety of response types, depending on what is needed. The options include things such as long and short answer, whole or decimal numbers, and multiple choice. This makes it easier to write the checklist in a more specific manner which will gather more data than the simple one. This checklist should be used when certain data, such as dates and comments, needs to be collected and documented when repairs or PMs are done.

History. Any time a checklist is completed, it is stored in the work order or preventive maintenance history for later retrieval. Each response tracks the answer, user name, date, time, and any comments.

Reporting. Reports can be run against checklists, and can display things such as what steps were completed, who completed them, and when.

Mobile and Barcode integration. Additionally, checklists are available on our mobile app, called MAPCON Mobile. The addition of checklists to the mobile app makes completing work orders even faster by allowing users to complete the tasks right on their smartphone or tablet, instead of having to trek back to a PC to enter the necessary information.
