Wisconsin Industrial Sand purchased a 6 User MAPCON Computerized Maintenance Management System. MAPCON's Work Order system, Bill of Material feature and the ease at which information is able to be extracted were some of the reasons they chose MAPCON for their CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). For many years employees at Wisconsin Industrial Sand carried all the information on equipment in their minds. Their goal is to have all that information at their fingertips.

Wisconsin Industrial Sand (WIS) is a division of Fairmount Minerals. WIS mines industrial sand primarily used in the oil and gas industry. Through their state of the art processes their quality and consistency are the reasons industrial companies depend on them.

MAPCON is assisting them in keeping that quality high. By building a bill of materials for equipment in MAPCON they are able to see if other locations that use MAPCON have the part that they may need to fix a piece of equipment. That way they are able to keep their plants up and running.
