MAPCON Smart Maintenance: Start Using Checklists!

One of the most sought-after features for CMMS Software is the ability to attach "Checklists" for every step in the maintenance process. Checklists make it easy for maintenance managers to ensure work is done correctly and completely! MAPCON Checklists can be added to Work Orders, Equipment, Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures, as well as, Routes and Locations.

MAPCON Checklists are part of our Advanced Maintenance Module! Plus, MAPCON Checklists come in two versions – simple for use by both our Lite and Pro users and an advanced version for our MAPCON Pro users.

Simple checklists

MAPCON's simple checklists are available to both Lite and Pro users. A simple checklist is basically a to-do list that can be added to ensure all of the necessary steps are taken to complete the needed work. This ensures that vital tasks in the repair process are not missed, which can help decrease machine downtime, and save companies money. When setting up a simple checklist, tasks can be written in order of how they should be performed, or in order of importance.

Advanced checklists

MAPCON’s advanced checklists are exclusively available to Pro users. Advanced checklists are more in-depth and can have different response types, such as short answer, whole or decimal numbers, and multiple choice. The various response types allow users to get more specific data than the simple checklist.

What you can expect with MAPCON Checklists:

Easy setup. Checklists can be setup within minutes, and can easily be copied and added to places within MAPCON. If needed, multiple checklists can be added to a work order or PM.

Multiple uses. Both the advanced and simple checklists can be used in different places within MAPCON, such as a route, piece of equipment, location, PM, or a work order.

History. When a checklist is completed, it is stored in the work order or PM history. Each checklist tracks the answer given, the user, date, time, and any comments entered.

Reporting. Reports can be run against a checklist, showing who completed the list, what was done, and when.

Mobile Integration. MAPCON checklists pair nicely with our mobile CMMS, and allow users to complete tasks right from their smartphone or tablet. This can save time since workers don’t have to trek back to a PC to enter their responses.

Barcode Integration. MAPCON users that also have our barcoding module will find it makes completing checklists even easier. Using their smartphone or tablet, workers can simply scan the asset or work order, and the necessary checklist will appear. From there, they can complete the checklist and have an ad-hoc work order automatically created. This can be a huge timesaver for any company.
