Blackmer Chooses CMMS Software to Pump Up Efficiency

Blackmer, located in Grand Rapids, MI, wanted to become more efficient in tracking labor hours and identifying equipment costs.  They chose MAPCON and iMAPCON for their CMMS Software. The comprehensive, yet user friendly Preventive Maintenance and Work Orders areas of MAPCON and iMAPCON will assist them in their goals. They will roll out the system in a limited fashion in three zones over the next six months.  Over the rest of the year, they will include other areas of the plant for a total of seven zones.

Work Requests will be collected in iMAPCON and sent to MAPCON to be turned into Work Orders. Equipment costs will be tabulated as employees fill out the work orders and enter them back into MAPCON. Drawings and equipment specifications will all be housed in the CMMS software making it easy to look up information. Efficiency is the goal and Blackmer is well on their way to achieving that goal.

Blackmer was founded in 1903 and is the leading manufacturer of positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps and compressors for the transfer of liquid and gas products. Blackmer pumps are known for their high efficiency and reliability, low life cycle cost and their operational advantages in handling thin liquids. The U.S. Navy has used Blackmer pumps on their ships for the past 50 years.

Welcome Blackmer to the MAPCON Family!
