MAPCON Helps Dough Continue to Rise at Red Star Yeast!

The Maintenance Department at Red Star Yeast has chosen MAPCON as their CMMS!  The "Best of Breed" aspects and custom capabilities of MAPCON were key in their decision to purchase.

Red Star Yeast opened in late 2005 as a joint venture of Lesaffre Yeast Corp and Archer Daniels Midland and is located in Cedar Rapids, IA. One of the largest operations of its type in North America, this plant supplies some of the finest yeast and ingredients to commercial bakers around the World.

The custom cabilities to data mine from MAPCON and move information to and from Oracle is important to mainstrem into corporate needs.  MAPCON"s integrated ability allows for various groups within Maintenance and Engineering to be connected. Those using MAPCON daily consist of Maintenance Technicians, Inventory/Receiving staff and MRO groups. They find MAPCON"s ability to track transactions and report with a flexible user-defined report generator very helpful. Red Star Yeast Maintenance Planners also enjoy a direct link into MS/Excel from MAPCON"s report generator.

MAPCON will continue to assist the Maintenance staff at Red Star Yeast and expand into a new Yeast Extract plant opening on site in 2010. Zoned areas for independent tracking of multiple plants assets will help this organization segregate information between sites. MAPCON is proud to be associated with this Iowa located plant and staff.  Welcome to the Family Red Star Yeast!
