Meet Mapcon Mondays - Featuring Craig Mullenbach

Image: Craig MullenbachWelcome to another edition of Meet Mapcon Mondays, a monthly interview series starring one of Mapcon's illustrious employees. This time we're sitting down with Craig Mullenbach to hear about his tenure here at Mapcon Technologies, Inc.

Q: Introduce yourself.

A: Hello, My name is Craig Mullenbach, I am an advanced support technician at Mapcon. I am responsible for assisting with basic support questions, but I also assist with more advanced solutions as well. I spend most of my time either fixing the data (with SQL Magic), making reports, or doing complex data imports that cannot be done within Mapcon. Lately, I have been spending most of my time working on imports and I enjoy it very much.

Q: Without revealing a deep, dark secret (unless you want to), tell us something about yourself most people don't know.

A: While I do have an educational background in Computer Science, I got my undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Statistics. I originally was going to get a bachelor’s in Computer engineering, then I was too intimidated by it and switched majors. I only revisited computer science and got my Computer Science certificate years after I graduated and found Mapcon.

Q: Tell us about your Mapcon experience.

A: I have been with Mapcon since June of 2021 so I have been here for almost a year and a half. Since I started at Mapcon I feel I’ve gained a second family. Everyone here works as a team and we like helping each other out when we are struggling. A good example of this is what I’ve been dealing with lately. I have been getting busy with a few big projects and my co-workers have been willing to take over some of my other work, to allow me to finish my other projects that cannot be given to someone else. This has made it easier to get the things I need done and in a timely fashion.

Q: Outside of work, tell us what you enjoy.

A: Lately what I’ve spent much of my free time on is Farrell’s. Farrell’s is an extreme body shaping program where your main cardio is learning to kickbox in a class and we do strength training every other class. It has been a great way for me to eat healthier and get fit, plus it is quite fun. Other hobbies include making small crafts with polymer clay and some gaming.

Q: What is one aspect about Mapcon you would like customers and future customers to know?

A: I think all customers and future customers should know that Mapcon employees will work with you wherever you are. If you are a complete novice, you can take training and we can help you get your company started the right way in Mapcon. If you have some experience but don’t know how to do something, we can answer your questions via call or email. If you have a large amount of experience with Mapcon and would like something to be a different way, we can provide you a quote for custom programming and you can purchase the changes you want to see in Mapcon so that it fits your needs. Mapcon is a powerful software when you know how to use it correctly!

Craig Mullenbach is a valued member of the Mapcon team, and we can't wait to see what other innovations he'll forge in the future! Join us again next month to get to know another member of the Mapcon family.
