Welcome to Mapcon - 2022

Last April, Mapcon hired Jessica Bergren-Ramirez to join the team of Advanced Technical Support. What does that mean? Let's hear about this in her own words.

The biggest part of my job is answering client calls and tickets. I help people find reports and answer quick questions about where things are and how to do them in the system. For example, finding receipt returns or making a new user. I really enjoy this because I like to teach and because I like having consistent customers who come to me again and again with their questions.

I also do some more in-depth training, like learning how to use specific modules like Preventative Maintenance or Purchasing. Usually, this takes about an hour over the phone, and we really dig deep into all the useful tools Mapcon has to offer within each specific window.

Oftentimes, when a client submits a ticket, they are looking for a report that doesn’t yet exist. A lot of my job is making these new reports with SQL and the BIRT report designer. This is one of the areas I’ve learned a ton in since joining Mapcon.

I also use SQL to fix any hung-up data that is wrong in the system, like if a purchase order is stuck in received status but has been invoiced.

We look forward to great things from Jessica (JJ). Welcome to the Mapcon family!
