Meet Mapcon Mondays - Featuring Steven Bockman
Welcome to another edition of Meet Mapcon Mondays, a monthly interview series starring on of Mapcon's illustrious employees. This time we're sitting down with Steven Bockman to learn about his tenure here at Mapcon Technologies, Inc.
Q: Introduce yourself.
A: My name is Steven Bockman, and I'm a programmer here at Mapcon. Mostly, I work on custom programming projects but occasionally do some work on the main product. I also help with new client installs and data imports when needed.
Q: Without revealing a deep, dark secret (unless you want to), tell us something about yourself most people don't know.
A: I love to write. I was involved with a lot of creative writing and newspaper clubs in school. I still write today, mostly short stories.
Q: Tell us about your Mapcon experience.
A: I've been with Mapcon for four years. I started as an Advanced Technical Support Specialist, spending a lot of time working on reports for clients.
My favorite thing about Mapcon is building relationships with clients. It's really cool to be able to meet them at MUG events or inhouse training.
Q: Outside of work, tell us what you enjoy.
A: I have a 110-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback and enjoying taking him out on adventures. I'm usually working on DIY projects at home and just got back into running on the treadmill.
Q: What is one aspect about Mapcon you would like customers and future customers to know?
A: We're always accessible. Even though the office hours are 8-5, we check our emails outside of those hours. We have clients in foreign countries and are open to conducting remote sessions with them during their business hours.
Steven is a valued member of our team. We thank Steven for providing excellent programming. Join us again next month to get to know another member of the Mapcon family.
